Dont rain on my educational parade.

It rained , it flooded , it killed , it destroyed. You never know what you have till its gone  and most of us want the school days to come back . Pray that the rumors about this whole week being a vacation are just rumors. Goodnight. :)

this is from the ministry of education's website and it specifically says that schools will close on the 29th till the 12 th of feb. and that that decision includes all schools in jeddah.
unless dar jana manages to get some kind of license from the ministry and opens during that period;but so far it is ALL schools.
im sorry but the article is in arabic.
i could tell you for sure that they are not rumors .... it's official now.
i dont know if we should party or not honestly :S

  4. seriously yasmine.
i totally agree.well, some areas have been devastated and some haven't. let's all enjoy this "HOLIDAY" and not worry about the rain because eventually and hopefully everything will come back to normal. besides it has just come on time since there are finals awaiting us 3 weeks after that.

  5. honestly, i don't know what to feel; it's like a double-ended sword:
on the one hand, we don't have school !!! [ YAY !]
on the other, we don't have school BECAUSE of rain which caused so many to get stranded and injured, some even died [allah yir7amhom], and some now can't even get to their homes...

but a sure positive thing that came out of all this was how the Jeddah community immediately reacted to help each other out; so many are offering their homes and their efforts to give these people a temporary haven till their homes are fixed and the streets around them are safe.
I'm really proud to be a part of this community.. :)
